Last week, Tom Noble, CEO, announced that Noble was issued an award under the MRO Requisition Channel Gen 2 by the U.S. General Services Administration. It is a single award, firm-fixed price, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The contract has an estimated value of $100M over five years.
The Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) Requisition Channel is GSA's full-service solution using GSA Global Supply. It is a GSA Strategic Sourcing Solution designed to leverage the Government's purchasing power, reduce total cost of ownership, improve mission delivery, and provide a more effective Government-wide acquisition solution. Under this contract, Noble will fulfill 1184 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) of MRO items purchased through GSA Global Supply by GSA customers within CONUS East Coast and West Coast locations.
GSA estimates that the U.S. Government spends $1.6B/year on MRO supplies. MRO supply categories under the MRO Requisition Channel include:
I. Hardware
Examples: Screws, ladders, brackets, drill bits, welding equipment, hoses, valves, faucets, rollers, drop cloths, storage containers, protective goggles, earplugs, portable air conditioners, portable heaters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, pumps, compressors, generators, motors, lights, cables, surge protectors
II. Tools & Tool Cabinets
Examples: Wrenches, shears, screwdrivers, scissors, saws, knives, hammers, drills, toolsets and kits, tool batteries, and tool cabinets
III. Paints, Adhesives, & Sealants
Paints, adhesives, sealants, stains, varnishes, shellacs, lacquers, and small specialized tools and equipment related to painting and finishing
Products offered under the MRO Requisition Channel fulfill regulatory requirements. They are Trade Agreement Act compliant. Product options include items produced under the AbilityOne Program and sustainable products such as bio-preferred, Energy Star, and WaterSense items.
