Tailored Logistics Support for MRO Products and Projects
Noble supports our U.S. Military and Government customers by providing a full line of MRO supplies and incidental services for maintenance, repair, and operations projects worldwide. Our Customer Solutions Managers work closely with customers to understand requirements, provide solutions, and guide them through the process. The program can streamline acquisitions, reduce response times, and provide cost savings through leveraged buying power. Here are recent examples covering a range of requirements and solutions provided.
Project: Tionesta Dam Road Repair for USACE in Pennsylvania
Noble provided a quick response to repair a road collapse in Tionesta, Pennsylvania, that occurred on June 19th. Noble's TLS Team worked with DLA Troop Support's Construction and Equipment and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to deliver the material used to shore up the collapsed area adjacent to the Tionesta Dam.
Noble provided the quote and arranged delivery of between 300-400 tons of aggregate within 24 hours to repair the embankment and support the road. Director of Logistics at USACE Headquarters, Jeffrey Burbach, commended the partners on the project's success. "This is another superb integration of our collective capabilities to get things done," Burbach stated.
Noble's Northeast MRO Team provided TLS services to arrange delivery of 300-400 tons of aggregate to repair a road collapse near the Tionesta Dam in Pennsylvania.
Project: Turn-Key Vertical Storage System for USAF DABS Operations in Luxembourg
Noble supports U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) by executing military construction projects throughout the region. DABS is a "base-in-a-box" solution for the rapid assembly of base operations. The Vertical Storage System is a "warehouse-in-a-box" for moving and securing freight containers coming into the base by rail.
Noble provided all material and equipment, shipping, and full turn-key installation services. These services included trained personnel to ensure proper assembly and functionality, validate the system for expected working conditions, check for any defects, and ensure the commencement of the manufacturer's warranty.
The 320-position vertical storage system accommodates cargo racks configured on 463L pallets and ISU-90 cargo containers secured on moveable and reconfigurable carriages. These mount on the surface rail system. By implementing this solution, site operational capacity and efficiency are exponentially increased. If relocation or removal is desired, Noble can assist with these services, when required.
Noble's Kaiserslautern MRO Team worked with our customer to install a vertical storage system for USAF DABS operations in Luxembourg.
Projects for APS-2 Zutendaal, Belgium
- Vehicle exhaust on-demand filter systems to safely remove exhaust fumes from vehicles undergoing maintenance.
- Diesel generators to support alternate power requirements due to the dated and sometimes non-existent power grid in many areas of the APS2 site.
- Mobile Light Towers for limited lighting areas of APS2.
A memo from Kirk D. Hansen, Management and Program Analyst at the Army Field Support Battalion - Benelux, outlined findings supporting both the TLS MRO EUCOM program and our Team. Hanson wrote, "The use of the MRO program through DLA and the extensive support by Noble Supply and Logistics has filled a void that was unattainable by available Department of Army civilians and Host Nation employees. Each purchase utilizing Noble has supported the War Fighter and successful operations of APS-2 Zutendaal, Belgium."
Noble's AFRICOM MRO Team provided logistics support for shipping fuel tanks from Poland to Djibouti. Our Team worked with the customer to provide the solution and made sure that our freight forwarders could get on base despite COVID-related access limitations.
