Don Ostrowski is a training leader and subject matter expert with more than 35 years of experience in law enforcement, emergency management, and CBRN-HazMat readiness. He built a distinguished career delivering mission-critical training and operational support for public safety, federal agencies, and international security initiatives. Known for his expertise in instructional design, risk-based response, and advanced detection technologies, he has consistently helped organizations enhance preparedness and response capabilities in complex, high-risk environments.
In his current role as Director of Training at NOBLE IQ, Don leads a team of subject-matter experts and instructors, overseeing the development and delivery of specialized training programs for federal and law enforcement customers. He serves as a lead trainer in advanced detection and identification instrumentation and manages chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment programs, ensuring the effective integration of technology into operational tactics. His leadership extends globally, including directing major international initiatives such as the Iraq Airport Security Project for the U.S. Department of State, demonstrating his ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
Earlier in his career, Don served for over two decades with the City of Troy Police Department, where he held leadership roles in special investigations, criminal intelligence, and emergency management planning. He also contributed as a grant writer and project manager, supporting regional security initiatives and interagency coordination. His extensive field experience, combined with deep expertise in instruction and program management, positions him as a trusted leader in training, public safety, and CBRN defense. His experience and leadership continue to advance mission-critical training and readiness, strengthening the ability of organizations to respond effectively in high-risk environments.
