This session covers essential strategies for effectively screening vehicles, individuals, and objects to ensure attendee safety. Topics include advanced weapons and trace detection techniques, screening workflows, and how to identify potential threats before they escalate.

TOPIC 2: CBRNE Threat Monitoring

This 45-minute session explores critical considerations for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) threat monitoring at large public events. Participants will discuss unique challenges posed by CBRNE hazards and the preparedness, detection, and response strategies needed to protect public spaces and event environments.

This 45-minute facilitated discussion addresses the challenges of responding to active assailant incidents at stadiums, festivals, and other large gatherings. Attendees will explore threat and vulnerability recognition, rapid threat interdiction in open environments, crowd movement dynamics, and approaches to casualty care and scene stabilization under high-stress conditions. This is a high-level strategic conversation designed to improve decision-making during large-event active threat scenarios.
