NOBLE TR/EX BREAKOUT SESSIONS
NOBLE TR/EX showcases the latest technology solutions for addressing a range of current challenges faced by today’s public safety professionals. NOBLE SMEs will lead four focused sessions, each designed to explore real-world scenarios and the technologies that support effective threat detection and response.
TOPIC 1: Event Screening
0900 - 0945
Join us for a 45-minute discussion focused on high-volume safety screening at large public events. This session covers essential strategies for effectively screening vehicles, individuals, and objects to ensure attendee safety. Topics include advanced weapons and trace detection techniques, screening workflows, and how to identify potential threats before they escalate.
TOPIC 2: CBRNE Threat Monitoring
1015 - 1100
This 45-minute session explores critical considerations for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) threat monitoring at large public events. Participants will discuss unique challenges posed by CBRNE hazards and the preparedness, detection, and response strategies needed to protect public spaces and event environments.
TOPIC 3: Emerging Technology as a Weapon of Opportunity
1115 - 1200
In this thought-provoking 45-minute discussion, we examine how emerging technologies—particularly electric vehicles (EVs), lithium-ion batteries, and UAS—may be exploited as weapons of opportunity. The session reviews how these technologies could be used maliciously, methods for detecting associated threats, and countermeasures to enhance public safety. Participants will also explore the evolving transportation landscape and its implications for large-event security.
TOPIC 4: Active Assailant Response
1315 - 1400
This 45-minute facilitated discussion addresses the challenges of responding to active assailant incidents at stadiums, festivals, and other large gatherings. Attendees will explore threat and vulnerability recognition, rapid threat interdiction in open environments, crowd movement dynamics, and approaches to casualty care and scene stabilization under high-stress conditions. This is a high-level strategic conversation designed to improve decision-making during large-event active threat scenarios.
